Minority Commission Member Dhanyakumar Meets People of Minority Community

Chandigarh, 24th June. Dhanyakumar Jinappa Jain, Member, National Commission for Minorities, on Friday met the representatives of various minority communities of Chandigarh at UT Secretariat and discussed with them the schemes being run by the Government of India for the minorities.

Former Member of Parliament and Chairman of Chandigarh Social Welfare Committee Satya Pal Jain was also present on the occasion.

People from different communities including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains participated in this meeting.

Later Dhanyakumar Jinappa also interacted with the officials of the Social Department.

Dhanyakumar Jinappa listened carefully to the views of the representatives. Many members requested that the Minorities Commission should be formed in Chandigarh also.

Satya Pal Jain gave information about the activities and development plans being done by the Social Welfare Department.

Dhanyakumar Jinappa had come to Chandigarh on Friday on a one-day visit.
