New Delhi, 20th Feb: Amid the presence of global technology leaders, policymakers and industry veterans at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, it was an eight-year-old coder who drew the loudest applause. Ranvir Sachdeva became the youngest keynote speaker at the summit held at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital.

Introducing himself as a “technologist,” Ranvir addressed the audience with poise, explaining how he is connecting ancient Indian philosophies with modern Artificial Intelligence systems. He spoke about how India is shaping AI in its own way and compared different global approaches to technological development.

“I’m here as the youngest keynote speaker at the India AI Impact Summit. I’m talking about how I’m linking ancient Indian philosophies to modern-day technologies,” Ranvir said during an interaction with the media. He also shared that he is working on AI use cases based on Indian AI models and aims to contribute to GDP growth while promoting AI literacy.

The summit provided Ranvir the opportunity to meet some of the most influential figures in global technology. He interacted with Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, and Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, during the event. Photographs of the young coder with the tech leaders quickly circulated on social media.

His list of high-profile meetings is growing rapidly. Ranvir previously met Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff and International Telecommunication Union Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva. In 2024, he also met United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.

One of his earliest headline-making encounters was in 2023, when he met Apple CEO Tim Cook during the inauguration of Apple’s Delhi store. At just five years old, Ranvir demonstrated his coding skills to Cook after waiting in line with his parents.

Coding Since Age Three
Ranvir’s journey into technology began early. According to his family, he has been coding since the age of three. In 2022, he won a gold medal as a “Super Presenter” at the Global Reading Challenge. At six, he became the world’s youngest TEDx speaker, delivering a talk on innovation and technology.

He has also developed a prototype rocket model for Mars exploration, which reportedly received recognition from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

As India pushes forward as a global AI hub, Ranvir Sachdeva’s presence at the summit highlighted a new generation of innovators. His keynote symbolised not only youthful talent but also India’s effort to blend cultural wisdom with cutting-edge technology on the global stage.
