5 died after a chartered plane crashes in Mumbai

A chartered plane crashed in West Mumbai’s Ghatkopar killing 5 people. Preliminary reports tell two pilots, two engineers on board and a pedestrian died in a crash said aviation regulator DGCA in a statement. All bodies were partially burned.

The plane VT-UPZ, KING AIR C90 crashed near Sarvoday Nagar in a partially construct building while on a test flight flight from Juhu aerodrome.

Authorities said, “Five fire tenders and disaster management teams were at the spot of the crash and the fire was doused”. Additional commissioner of east region Lakhmi Gautam said, “We received information of plane crash and our teams have been dispatched”.
