GG News Bureau
New Delhi, 17th Feb. A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck Delhi and nearby areas on Monday morning, sending residents rushing out of their homes in panic. The National Center for Seismology reported that the quake had a depth of five kilometers, with its epicenter near Durgabai Deshmukh College of Special Education in Dhaula Kuan.

CCTV footage captured the moment tremors hit, showing water tanks, electric wires, and buildings shaking. Residents described the quake as intense, with some likening it to the collapse of a bridge or the movement of a heavy train.

The epicenter, Dhaula Kuan, has recorded minor quakes in the past, with the last notable one being a 3.3-magnitude tremor in 2015. In response, Delhi Police urged citizens to call the emergency helpline (112) for assistance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reassured the public, advising them to stay calm and take necessary safety precautions while authorities monitor the situation for possible aftershocks.
