32-Year-Old Andhra Pradesh Man Among Four Killed in Arkansas Grocery Store Shooting

A 32-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh, India, was one of four victims killed in a tragic shooting incident at a grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas. The victim, Dasari Gopikrishna, hailed from Bapatla district and had moved to the United States just eight months ago.

Gopikrishna was working at the Mad Butcher grocery store when a gunman opened fire on June 21. Positioned at the billing counter, Gopikrishna sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed the following day. The news of his death has devastated his family in Yajali, Karlapalem mandal, Bapatla district.

Gopikrishna leaves behind a wife and a son. The shooting at the grocery store killed four and injured nine. The assailant opened fire both inside the store and in the parking lot, causing widespread panic and chaos.

CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the gunman entering the store, shooting Gopikrishna at the counter, and then jumping over the counter to grab an item from a shelf before fleeing the scene.

The tragic incident has shocked the small town of Fordyce and brought attention to the ongoing issue of gun violence in the United States. Local authorities are continuing their investigation into the shooting, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
