Bhojpur, 19th August. A 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a boy in Bhojpur district, Bihar, according to police reports on Monday.
The incident occurred on Sunday night, prompting a vigilant police presence in the village to maintain order, given that the survivor and the accused belong to different communities.
Police received a report of the assault around 9 PM and responded promptly. Senior officers from the local police station arrived at the scene, took the victim to the district hospital for a medical examination, and registered a case based on the victim’s family’s statement.
The accused, a minor from the same village, is currently on the run. Authorities have also searched the residence of the accused and summoned his father for questioning. The medical report for the survivor is still pending as the investigation continues.
