The High Commission of Canada in India, in partnership with the “Run with Me” Foundation headed by Coach Ravinder Singh, is encouraging running enthusiasts to register for the 2nd edition of #RunforHer 2019.
In a press release issued from High Commission of Canada in India,it has been stated that the # Runfor Her has been scheduled for Sunday morning, 03 March 2019, in the Chankyapuri area, this event aims to spread awareness around women’s rights and women’s health, which is a critical underpinning for the empowerment of women and girls in all areas of society.
As a lead up to International Women’s Day, the Run for Her will be a dynamic and diverse initiative that will involve diplomats, students, NGOs, media and members of the general public.
From the most relaxed walkers to the hardest-driving runners, Run for Her is open to all participants under the 5km and 10km categories. To register, please visit: www.runforher.coachravinder.com .
Proceeds from the Run for Her will be provided to the Prana Health Center. The Prana Health Center is a part of the Pardada Pardadi Educational Society (PPES), an organisation that has been working for holistic rural development through the social and economic empowerment of women and girls in Western Uttar Pradesh. PPES provides free education, job opportunities, and healthcare for girls and women from marginalized sections of society and enables them to break out of the cycle of poverty.
