New Delhi: American-Indian Community in New York organized Namo Tea Party (chai pe charcha) in Long Islands in United States of America. Senior Indian BJP leader Vijay Jolly attended as Chief Guest while New York State Assembly member Andrew P. Raia attended as Guest of Honor. Prominent Women leader Pallavi Ghayalod organized this program at Hilton Hotel, New York.
While addressing the large NRI community assembled in New York, Jolly lauded the good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and dynamic leadership of Amit Shah in Republic of India. Modi was applauded for good governance while Amit Shah was credited for making BJP the largest political outfit in the world today even surpassing the Communist Party of China numerically.
Cabinet ministers in Modi Govt. were loudly cheered for their sterling performances. Led by Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Health Minister Jagat P. Nadda, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Power Minister Piyush Goyal, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Textiles Minister Smriti Irani.
Jolly presented a Ganesh statue to Ms. Pallavi along with Namo Tea Party Scarf. Andrew P. Raia was presented a book titled “Prabodhan-Thoughts of Hindu Society” by Mr. Jolly on the occasion.
Prominent American Indian Community leaders were presented Namo Tea Party Saffron Scarf’s with Lotus Symbol of BJP by Mr. Jolly.
NY State Assembly member Andrew Raia recalled his 12 years long association since 2006 with BJP leader Mr. Jolly. The American Council for Young Political Leaders had invited Indian Young Political Leaders delegation led by then MLA Jolly to US in Sep 2006. And Mr. Jolly had then presented him a momento which Andrew bought along with him to Chai Pe Charcha in NY. He in his address complimented the initiative and leadership of BJP leader Vijay Jolly for promoting people to people friendship & Indo-American relations.
NRIs assembled pledged their support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Amit Shah and Bharatiya Janta Party in 2019 parliamentary elections in India by raising their hands in unison.
Jolly later visited a Hand Oil Painting Exhibition at New York by NRI artist Poonam Gogia and attended by who’s who of New York civil society including journalists, businessman and art connoisseurs.
